Psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families

Cecilia Esquivel, LCSW-C

Have you ever asked yourself:

"Why do these things keep happening to me?"
"Why do I keep making the same mistakes?"
"Why do I always seem to choose the wrong person for me?"
"How did we get to this point in our relationship?" or
"Why is it so difficult to establish a good, loving, lasting relationship?"

These are some of the questions that you will be able to answer when you embark in the process of understanding yourself through therapy. Going into therapy can be a very difficult and often conflicted decision, full of fears and uncertainties.

In the quiet and welcoming space of my home practice, I create a safe, non-judgmental environment in which you will feel the freedom to unburden yourself, lighten your load and begin the scary but incredibly rewarding journey of knocking down the walls that keep you stuck in the same negative situations, relationships and thoughts.

I believe that you are the agent of change. You have the power, the ability and the knowledge to make positive changes in your life. My job is to help you understand your own patterns and behaviors, and to help you tap into your own personal strengths in order to begin the healing process.

After only a few sessions, you will begin to understand your patterns of behavior and learn how to make simple, practical changes that will significantly enhance your current relationships and give you a more positive outlook on your life.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I bring to my practice an understanding of different world views and an intrinsic respect for people of any ethnic and socioeconomic status.

My areas of practice include depression, anxiety, isolation, relationship issues, parenting challenges, life transitions and problems with cultural adaptation.
